Stories of animals ruthlessly exterminated by humans. The dodo, Steller's sea cow, the Japanese wolf......... gone from the Earth. Eight species of birds and animals made extinct by humans. This story depicts the circumstances that led to their extinction and what humans did to them. When our primitive ancestors wiped out the wooly mammoth, it was for survival. But the animals in this book died out due to human greed, vanity, and ego. Through these extinct animals, we see the dark side of the human heart. (Source: Shogakukan, translated)
