A manga artist living in Europe, Kayama Tetsu heard about a country with a strangely attractive name, “Mindkuwait”, from a man he met at a cafe during his stay in Poland. Immediately, the author set out to explore this place, embarking on an imaginary journey from Berlin, Germany, through a fictional European landscape. Enjoying the cultures and lifestyles of various countries he visits for the first time, analyzing societies through the streets' appearances, the author continues his journey. What is this “Mindkuwait” he ultimately reaches? What is the crucial “state of heart” he discovers there? This is a travel essay that weaves fiction, imagination, and philosophical contemplation throughout, recording an inner journey.
