Cookie & Local Storage Policy
ReaderFlow stores a few things in your browser so the website and extension can work. Here is what we save and why.
No advertising cookies
ReaderFlow does not currently use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or general third-party analytics. We do not show a cookie banner because the storage we use today is needed for features you ask for. If we add optional trackers later, they will stay off until you agree where consent is required. Saying no will not disable the website or extension; it will only keep that optional feature turned off.
Website cookies
- auth_token keeps you signed in and helps protect your account. It is a first-party, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax cookie. It expires after 30 days or when you sign out.
- The PHP session cookie temporarily holds session and security information, including anti-forgery protection. It usually expires when your browser session ends.
- rf_locale remembers your chosen language for one year. It is a first-party, SameSite=Lax cookie.
Blocking or deleting these cookies may sign you out, reset your language, or stop the related feature from working.
Local storage on your device
The website may save interface preferences, unfinished message drafts, tutorial progress, and one-session notices. The extension may save its settings, reading preferences, cached account configuration, update notices, and local diagnostic or training information. Supported reading pages may also hold a comment draft or session notice for a short time. This helps ReaderFlow remember your choices on your device. It is not used for advertising or cross-site profiling.
Reading activity is not cookie advertising
When you are signed in and open a supported chapter with the extension, ReaderFlow sends the series, chapter, source site, reading progress, and related events needed to sync your account. We use this service data for the features you choose, including history, recommendations, quests, achievements, notes, and comments. The Privacy Policy explains how this data is handled. It is not advertising-cookie tracking. To stop sending new reading activity, sign out, disable or remove the extension, or stop using it. You can manage existing account data in Settings and through the rights in the Privacy Policy.
Payments and optional services
PayPal or another provider you choose may use its own necessary storage to complete a payment or provide an integration. Its own privacy and cookie terms apply. ReaderFlow does not receive your full payment-card details.
Your controls
You can clear ReaderFlow website data in your browser, clear extension data through your browser's extension controls, sign out, or uninstall the extension. Clearing data may reset your preferences or delete drafts saved only on that device. Questions or privacy requests: pro.readerflow@gmail.com.
