Jasperia, Republic of Domus. After many years of conflict between two groups of settlers, a precarious balance appears to have been established, although the self-proclaimed authoritarian occupation government does not have unanimous support. To avoid being mistaken for suspected terrorists, pregnant women must wear an identification sign. In fact, several years ago, a scientist developed a "technology" that allowed women who had been implanted with an alien embryo to teleport. But now the government claims that these women, the "Wombs", are terrorists... What is really happening? Almare is one of them. A soldier turned resistance fighter, she seems willing to do anything to defend her rights and those of her people. Prepublished in Japan by Futabasha, this two-volume series takes place years before the events of Wombs and is an excellent gateway into this rich world. Between terrorism, political manipulations and territorial wars, Yumiko Shirai once again immerses us in his fascinating universe... This title can be read perfectly independently of the main series.
