The saints protect the world from the "defilement", an existence born from people's negative emotions. Lenalitaly, an apprentice saint, trains daily to live up to the strong expectations from those around her. However, because of weak powers and lack of special characteristics, she is ridiculed as the outcast saint. Lenalitaly's parents only care about her capable sister who had stolen her fiancé. Deciding in her mind that she would eventually be sent to the frontier, Lenalitaly gives up hope on a bright future. That is until a fated meeting with an apprentice knight occurs.
