Suzume and Medaka are third graders who attend the same cram school. Medaka is a funny, cute, private elementary school student with a rich family. Suzume, on the other hand, is an ordinary elementary school student, both in appearance and in her home. They have nothing in common, but they hit it off and become friends, and through each other, they begin to search for their true selves, unrestricted by gender or existing values. This is a story of elementary school girls' search for their true selves, taking one step at a time with courage.
