This is a story depicting the life of Sakamoto Ryoma, a patriot at the end of the Edo period. Ryoma Sakamoto was born in Tosa in the 6th year of Tenpo. Surprisingly, during his childhood, he was a bullied boy who was known as a "Hana-tare kid"! He couldn't even write kanji and was afraid of swordsmanship. People used to look at Ryoma, plucking flowers and gazing out at the ocean, and calling him an idiot, but inside his small chest, a big heart was growing that allowed him to see beyond the ocean. Ta!
